One of the policy areas of the Ministry, within the framework of which the institutions subordinate to the Ministry, in cooperation with other State and local government authorities, organise and take supervisory and preventive measures in the field of State fire safety and civil protection, inform and educate the public about the topics in the field, increasing the preparedness and capacity of the population in emergency cases, as well as perform and manage rescue work, monitoring compliance with the requirements for fire safety and civil protection specified in regulatory enactments.
