On 28 November, the State Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior Dimitrijs Trofimovs met with the Head of the Belarusian Joint Transitional Cabinet, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya. The meeting discussed a number of issues, including the situation at the EU's external border with Belarus, the problem of renewing documents for Belarusian citizens living abroad, etc.
Mr Trofimovs reaffirmed Latvia's support for the democratic movement in Belarus.
