On 5 September, the Cabinet of Ministers has issued an order on the transfer of State movable property to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, which provides for the transfer of 32 cars, together with their equipment and fuel, worth EUR 8447,99, to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. These vehicles are pre-owned, but their technical condition is satisfactory.
Taking into account the request of the representatives of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine regarding the shortage and necessity of certain material assets, as well as in order to develop the cooperation between the border guard authorities of Latvia and Ukraine and to strengthen their capabilities in the context of the war caused by Russia, the Ministry of the Interior in cooperation with the State Border Guard Service assessed the possibility to provide the requested support.
The Latvian State Border Guard will organize the preparation of the vehicles for shipment and transfer to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
