At the beginning of the examination period, the State Police, in co-operation with representatives of the State Educational Content Centre, will take preventive measures in schools during centralised examinations, in order to prevent the unlawful disclosure of the tasks of centralised examinations. Similarly, this year, additional safety features have been incorporated into the centralised exams, which will make it easier to identify the infringer in the event of publication of exam tasks. The State Police calls on educators, school staff and pupils to be aware of the criminal consequences that can arise from the disclosure of centralised exam tasks before the beginning of the exam, and to take care to keep confidential messages!

Each year the State Police shall identify illegal disclosure cases of centralised examinations prior to the time of their occurrence. Last year four criminal proceedings were launched for the illegal disclosure of centralised exams. In all criminal proceedings launched last year, the State Police has already completed an investigation and has referred them to the Prosecutor's Office for the initiation of criminal proceedings. In 2018, however, the State Police charged one criminal proceeding for this type of criminal offence for the initiation of criminal proceedings and two criminal proceedings in 2017.

In order to prevent a repeat of similar cases this year, in June and July of this year, the State Police, in cooperation with representatives of the State Educational Content Centre, will take preventive measures during centralised examinations in schools where the examinations are taking place. Preventive measures shall aim to prevent the unlawful disclosure of centralised examinations prior to their time, as well as to alert the responsible persons to the respect of safety measures.

The police will be able to attend any school on a random basis before or during the examination. Both the operational information received and the experience of previous years will be addressed. Similarly, this year the State Police, in cooperation with the State Educational Content Centre, has applied an additional safety element in centralised examinations, which will make it easier to identify the infringer in case of publication of the examination.

The State Police shall recall that Section 200, Paragraph one of the Criminal Law provides that the disclosure of confidential information, which is not a secret of the State, if it has been done by a person other than a public official who, in accordance with the Law, is responsible for the storage of information, is punishable by temporary deprivation of liberty or by forced labour or by a fine.
