On 17 June, Minister for the Interior Maria Golubeva visited the Asylum Seekers' accommodation center “Mucenieki”. The Minister met with Chief of State Border Guard Guntis Pujāts and Head of the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs Vilnis Jēkabsons. The purpose of the visit was to learn more about the current situation in the area of asylum and to listen to the management's views on the necessary improvements.
