On Wednesday, August 26, Minister of the Interior Sandis Ģirģens presented letters of thanks from the Prime Minister for selfless and active work in negotiating Latvia's interests in the Moneyval Commission of the Council of Europe and the Financial Management Working Group to R. Grīnbergs and I. Gise and A. Pavlovs.
Also, the Ministry of the Interior thanked M. Ludbārzs, an official of the Ministry of the Interior, and four officials of the State Fire and Rescue Service: I. Nakurts for the development of the informative report “On the Necessity of Establishing the Infrastructure of the State Civil Protection Control Point and Ensuring the Operation of the Civil Protection Operational Management Center” and also S.Lisovenko, R. Āzens, V. Zitāns.
Officials of the State Border Guard receive awards for professional action in a critical situation, saving the life of a child: Ē. Silov, I. Kudrjavcevs of the Ministry of the Interior and A. Pa'jčuns and V. Kovaļenko received the Thanksgiving of the Ministry of the Interior.
The Minister emphasized that he was proud that such selfless and professional people work in the interior services.
