"A flare has been fired at one of the most important projects for the arrangement and modernization of the home affairs sector, so that by the end of 2022, specialists from the State Fire and Rescue Service, the State Police and the Emergency Medical Service will find a new and modern home. This project is very important for the home affairs services and a lot of work has already been done. So once again, I thank my colleagues in the government and the home affairs sector for their support. I will follow the tender process to choose the best and highest quality offer, ”said Sandis Ģirģens, Minister of the Interior.

It is planned that new depots will be built in Kandava, Saulkrasti, Dagda, Iecava, Ilūkste, Rūjiena, Priekule and Aizpute in accordance with modern requirements in order to ensure quick response to calls. As a result, the security of the surrounding population will be much higher. Fire and rescue workers will finally have appropriate and modern working conditions. The new buildings will be thoughtfully located with fire garages, an administrative and leisure unit, as well as technical premises.

The procurement is divided into two procurement parts according to the building category and users, thus facilitating and standardizing the design, construction and network maintenance work. It is envisaged that within seven months the construction plan documentation for the construction of new buildings will be developed, the construction of buildings will be carried out by the end of 2022, but after the commissioning, maintenance works of engineering networks and engineering system will be performed.
