On the last Sunday, 9 August, officials of the Special Tasks Division of the State Police Traffic Safety Administration, in day-to-day traffic monitoring, in the county of Koknese, detained three drivers in Vecbebros for a short period of time without driving rights and drinking.
At a junction near Koknese, police officers spotted a suspicious car in the patrolling of Citroën C3, the law guards suspected that the driver could be under the influence of alcohol, so the driver was ordered to stop the vehicle. . The driver of the car initially stopped the vehicle, but began to escape with his feet, while the law guards quickly identified the offenders.. During the test, it was found that the driver of this car was seated at the steering wheel without the driver's license and that 1.58 promills were found in the exhalation. The car driver born in 1994 has previously come under police scrutiny for other road traffic offences.
As police officers continued patrolling in nearby areas, police officers suspected that a late one-car, this time Audi, might be driving under the influence of alcohol. The car was stopped and the test showed that the driver born in 1986 was not only unentitled but also after drinking – 2,39 under the influence of the promiles. The man has previously come under police scrutiny for other road traffic offences.
After a short time near the Specialized Tasks Department, officers on the road in Vecbebri – Ozols caught another drink driver without rights. . This time, a driver of an Opel Vectra, born in 1998, was attracted to the attention of the police. During the test, 2,05 promills were found in the man's exhalation. . The man was found to have no driving rights and never had them.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated for all cases.
The State Police recalls that alcohol and driving any vehicle are completely irreconcilable! If you drink alcohol - don't sit at the wheel! State police are calling on every traffic participant to be responsible and to protect themselves and others from the consequences of reckless conduct. . Don't go and let others go dizzy!
