 The Security Police
Security Police is state security institution that is subordinated to the Minister of the Interior. Security Police of Latvia performs the state policy in the field of the state security and it is the subject of the investigative operations.  State Border Guard
The main task of the State Border Guard lies within its collaboration with other Latvian institutions: to protect and keep watch of the State border and supervise foreigner observation of residential regulations within the state. The State Border Guard to perform its tasks on sea and air employ three (3) helicopters and twenty (20) sailing means. The State Fire-fighting and Rescue Service
The State Fire-fighting and Rescue Service implements: State policy in the field of fire safety, fire-fighting and civil protection;  supervises compliance with the fire safety requirements specified in regulatory enactments; co-ordinates the activities of fire safety, fire-fighting and rescue services established by institutions, organisations, commercial companies and local governments, and voluntary fire-fighter organisations which activities are related to fire safety and fire-fighting.

Information Centre of Ministry of Interior

Polyclinic of the Ministry of the Interior

The main directions of operations for the Health centre:

  • participation in the insurance of persons in the interior system who are cleared for the fulfillment of official duties: the system for the control of employee health, the hiring of employees, and the retiring thereof from service;
  • provision of ambulatory health-care services at both the primary (primary care physician) and the secondary (specialists, diagnostic tests) health-care levels;
  • provision of professional rehabilitation services at the ambulatory unit in Jūrmala.
